Tips and tricks for fair underarm skin
Have a correct hygiene. As a poor hygiene is one of the causes of dark armpits, it is important to wash your skin with regularity in order to remove the dead cells. Make sure you exfoliate the skin two times a week.
Remove your underarms hair wisely. If you choose to shave your hair or use chemical creams to do it, you must pay a lot of attention as repeating it over and over again will lead to dark armpits. The best option to get rid of underarm hair is to have it waxed. In time, your skin will be fairer and smoother.
Say no to electrolysis. Even though electrolysis is said to be very good in removing your hair, it is not. On the contrary, it can stimulate pigmentation, darkening your skin.
Avoid birth control pills. Hormonal imbalance can also cause hyperpigmentation, but you can avoid this by failing to take contraceptive pills.
Have a daily shower. If you decide to leave the shower for tomorrow, keep in mind the fact that you will only determine the bacteria to grow and your skin to sweat. In order to prevent your skin to become dark, have a shower every day.
Avoid tight and synthetic clothing. Tight clothes will prevent your skin from breathing, favoring the sweating and in time the bacteria growth or the accumulation of dead cells. If, however, you wear larger clothes that will allow your skin to breath and you opt for cotton instead of synthetic ones, you will only have to win.
Balance your weight. Among the causes of dark armpits we also mention obesity. The more fats are accumulated under your arms, the more friction there is when you move your arms. This friction, leads to hyperpigmentation. Try to maintain a balanced weight if you wish to have fair armpits and fresh odor.
Refuse to use chemical deodorants. If you currently use chemical deodorants you should stop. They only stimulate the hyperpigmentation of the skin. You can prevent dark armpits by using coconut oil, baking soda, rosewater or citrus oil.
Keep your skin moisture. If you manage to keep your skin moisture you will avoid excessive sweating and bad odor. Applying a cream two times a day you will keep bacteria away.
Visit the doctor. If these remedies do not work for you or you suffer from Acanthosis Nigricans, your only option is to consult a specialist. A specialist will know what treatment you should follow and what advice to give you.
