The causes that lead to these two diseases can be multiple, but we will focus on the most common.

Stress – can make you feel helpless. Either if it is related to money, work, school or love, it may cause instability to the point it turns into depression or anxiety.

Genetics – is one of the most important factors that lead to depression and anxiety, increasing the risk to get dominated by them.

Traumas – produce a very strong impact on someone’s emotional stability. A failure in career, love or the loss of a close person can make someone very vulnerable and exposed to depression and anxiety.

Chronic illnesses – can also lead to depression and anxiety. The news that a person has a very severe disease such as cancer can break him/her apart.

Addictions – can also make people fall into depression or anxiety, either if we talk about smoking, consuming drugs or alcohol.

A very effective and simple remedy is chamomile tea. It has calming properties, managing to restore your optimism, have a good sleep and open your mind. Boil 250 ml of water, then add 1 chamomile tea bag and let it steep for 5 minutes. Once you have removed the tea bag, add ½ tsp of honey and enjoy your tea. Consume it every night before bedtime and you will improve the quality of your sleep.

There is an essential oil that has the same properties as chamomile – lavender oil. This oil is famous all over the world for the way in which it manages to improve your mood. You can enjoy a massage, performed two times a week. You will not only relax your body, but the scent will clear your mind as well. Alternatively, you can pour several drops of lavender oil on your pillow before bedtime. During the night you will inhale the scent of lavender oil and you will manage to relax. By the morning you will be less worried and you will soon start to see the life with other eyes.

What if we told you that anxiety and depression can also be treated with a simple bath? To be honest is not just any bath, but one in which you add 1-2 cups of Epsom salt. The magnesium sulfate present in Epsom salt will help you relax and forget of all those worries that don’t leave you enjoy your life.

Another important ally in the fight against depression and anxiety is rosemary. Being rich in iron, vitamin and calcium, it improves your mood and provides you with energy, so that you focus on the important things of your life. Prepare some tea by boiling 2 tsp of dried rosemary in 1 cup of water. It is tasty and relaxing.

Since natural herbs are effective remedies, we must remind of lemon balm. Its properties will help you deal with depression and anxiety. Consume 1 600mg-capsule of lemon balm every day. Make sure you respect the indications present on the label as consumed in excess it can aggravate the disease.
